From here Nik moved into a larger forestry firm that maintained contracts for utilities and railway companies. It was in this role Nik qualified as a controller for site safety. Nik went on to manage his own team and was safely able to work on tracks, near power lines and in other potentially hazardous working environments. Nik was also at this time was part of a large felling team and tree planting scheme working with the Highways Agency.
Utilising his experience working in hazardous environments in 2008 Nik became a NPTC Assessor, and in 2009 developed his own realistic forestry and arboriculture training programme. Nik has excellent success rates and comes highly recommended. All assessments from Nik’s training are carried out by independent assessors and NPTC qualifications are widely recognised with Industry.
